Co-located Costs1 Unit (U) is 1.75 inch in height. Rack mounted server cases are measured in Units. You can put a server with two HDs and 2 network cards in a 1U case. So, the smaller your server - the more you save. Rackspace is a valuable resource, hence we charge £25 per U. If you need a lot of space, contact us to discuss what you need.. All charges are shown on a monthly basis. This bandwidth is burstable to 10Mbit/s UK, 1Mbit/s International. How do I buy bandwidth?We provide bandwidth in three distinct methods. Firstly, we provide it on a "pay as you go" basis. Secondly, we provide bandwidth on a "buy what you need" basis and finaly we supply bandwidth on a "fixed rate". Thinking of colocating a server with us? We suggest you read our colocation FAQ. Pay as you go (up to 10GB per month).For usage up to 10GB per month we allow you to pay for what you use. This way you do not pay for bandwidth that is never used. This method is almost unique to Megaweb Developments. At the end of each month we record how many gigabytes of traffic your server has generated/received and simply bill you for it on an £10 per gigabyte used basis. EG. You have a 1U server. At the end of the month we find you've used 3.5GB. You are then billed £25 for the 1U of rack space plus £40 for the bandwidth you've used, total £65 + VAT. There is an initial set-up fee of £150 per server, covering installation and connection. 1 Month notice, for termination of agreement. You Get: 1 IP address Extras: Additional IP address £25 per year.
Buy what you need.We understand that capacity planning is not always an exact science, so we will notify you when you reach 95% of your bandwidth limit in order for you to increase your purchased bandwidth. Unlike other ISPs we offer a 5% band overrun buffer, so if you stay within 105% of your purchased band then you will not be penalised. Once you go over 105% of the band purchased then you will be charged £10 per GB thereafter. There is an initial set-up fee of £100 per server, covering installation and connection. 3 Month notice, for termination of agreement. You Get: 2 IP addresses Extras: Additional IP address £25 per year.

Buy by Kbit/s per second (monthly).This bandwidth is sold purely on a Kbit per second basis. Obviously this bandwidth does not burst any higher than the rate purchased. This is ideal if you wish to work to a set budget. There is an initial set-up fee of £100 per server, covering installation and connection. 3 Month notice, for termination of agreement. You Get: 2 IP address Extras: Additional IP address £25 per year.
